Privacy Policy

How we collect, utilize, and protect your personal information per Indian data protection norms.

Effective Date: 1st January 2025

This Privacy Policy governs the collection, storage, and use of personal information provided to Murashil Foundation (hereinafter "the Trust"), a charitable organisation registered under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882, operating in accordance with applicable Indian laws including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Amendment) Act, 2008. By using our website or services, you agree to the terms described herein.

We collect personal information necessary for the Trust's lawful charitable activities. This may include:

  • Aadhaar number (for beneficiary verification)
  • PAN Card number (for 80G certificate issuance)
  • Passport / Voter ID (if applicable)
Contact Information
  • Mobile number and email address
  • Residential / office address
  • PIN code and state of residence
  • District and tehsil (for beneficiaries)
Financial Information
  • Bank account details (NEFT refunds only)
  • Donation amount and payment reference
  • UPI Transaction ID / Cheque number
  • GST details (institutional donors only)
Technical / Digital Information
  • IP address and browser type
  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Device type and operating system
  • Cookies and session identifiers
2. Purpose of Collection & Use

Your PAN number is used exclusively to issue Section 80G tax exemption certificates as mandated under the Income Tax Act, 1961. Donation receipts are generated in accordance with the requirements of the Income Tax Department of India. These records are maintained for a minimum of 7 years as required under Section 44AA read with Rule 6F of the Income Tax Rules.

Personal information including Aadhaar (last 4 digits only stored in system), family details, income certificates and academic records are collected for the purpose of evaluating beneficiary eligibility for our welfare programs including scholarships, health camps, and food distribution drives.

With your explicit consent, we may use your email or phone number to send updates about Trust activities, new campaigns, annual reports, and event invitations. You may opt out at any time by writing to info@ngosoftware.in or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any communication.

Members and interns provide identity and academic information for membership card generation, internship certificate issuance, and portal access management. This data is used solely for internal Trust administration and is not shared with third parties.

4. Third Party Sharing & Disclosure
We do NOT sell, rent, or commercially share your personal data with any third party.

We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Government Mandates: Income Tax Department (for 80G reporting), Ministry of Home Affairs (FCRA compliance), Registrar of Trusts – Uttar Pradesh, and other statutory authorities as required by law.
  • Banking Partners: Authorised payment gateways and banks solely for processing donations and issuing NEFT refunds. These entities are bound by RBI data security regulations.
  • Legal Proceedings: Courts of competent jurisdiction in India, when required by court order, summons, or legal process as per applicable Indian law.
  • Auditors & Inspectors: Chartered Accountants and statutory auditors engaged by the Trust for mandatory audit under the Income Tax Act and applicable trust laws.
5. Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (stored for up to 90 days) to enhance user experience, maintain login sessions, and remember preferences. We do not use behavioural advertising trackers.
